Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Killer Kid (ranked 5413 p4p, 24423 weight class) and Uchima Gonshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uchima Gonshiro has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Killer Kid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Uchima Gonshiro! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kid shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gonshiro napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gonshiro explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Kid shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kid postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kid controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Gonshiro trying to control the position.
Gonshiro wriggles free and stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonshiro slips a jab and a cross from Kid.
Kid shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gonshiro trying to control but Kid postures up.
Kid throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Gonshiro to regain full guard. Kid stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gonshiro swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kid looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gonshiro ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gonshiro tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Gonshiro takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kid pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kid sets himself, and Gonshiro steps forward looking for the clinch! Kid avoids it this time. Kid looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Gonshiro has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kid is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Gonshiro tries to pull guard but Kid won't allow it.
Kid has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gonshiro clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kid is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Gonshiro. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gonshiro is trying to get back to his feet but Kid has full control of the position and if anything, Gonshiro has just worked his way into a worse spot. A bit of a pause in the action here. Kid controlling the positon. Kid tightening his grip on Gonshiro, looking for the choke. Gonshiro is trying to stand back up. Kid trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Gonshiro doesn't escape. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Killer Kid will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Kid misses with a wild combination.
Kid darts in and clinches Gonshiro up against the cage. Kid definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kid ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kid no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Gonshiro wants to pass the guard but Kid is keeping the position. Kid pulls Gonshiro in close to his closed guard and prevents Gonshiro from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gonshiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Kid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonshiro's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gonshiro wants to control from the top but Kid keeps moving. Gonshiro passes easily into side control. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonshiro stands up and beckons Kid to his feet. Kid closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Gonshiro is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kid is working Gonshiro over with some ground and pound from side control. Kid tries to stand but Gonshiro controls the position and pulls Kid into his guard. Gonshiro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kid is one step ahead there. Kid's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gonshiro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kid is one step ahead there. That's three minutes gone in the round. Kid looking to pass the guard. Kid preventing the sweep. Gonshiro keeps trying to improve his position. Gonshiro is trying to control the position but Kid postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kid works a leg free and moves into half guard. Kid is thwarting Gonshiro's attempts to control the position. Kid is taking a breather. Gonshiro says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gonshiro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kid to score an easy takedown into full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gonshiro is on top in guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Killer Kid will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Kid wants to sweep here but Gonshiro controlling him for the moment. Kid controlling Gonshiro's posture. Kid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonshiro on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kid fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gonshiro, pushing him back against the cage. Gonshiro fails to pull guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kid jumps guard.
Gonshiro wants to control from the top but Kid keeps moving. Kid looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gonshiro is one step ahead there. Gonshiro trying to control the position from guard on top but Kid is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kid is pulling down on Gonshiro's head to control his posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gonshiro wants to control from the top but Kid keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A combination from Kid does no damage. Gonshiro with the counter takedown but Kid avoids it easily. A momentary lapse in concentration from Gonshiro enables Kid to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gonshiro manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kid drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gonshiro manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kid has Gonshiro in his guard.
Uchima Gonshiro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Killer Kid is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kid has control of Gonshiro's left arm, preventing Gonshiro from doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Killer Kid showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kid, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
