Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Obolensky (ranked 2160 p4p, 4355 weight class) and Philip Roth (ranked 250 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexei Obolensky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Philip Roth! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obolensky shoots in for a takedown but Roth shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Roth with the counter takedown but Obolensky avoids it easily. Obolensky closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Obolensky lands in his opponent's guard. Obolensky makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Obolensky working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Roth's head. Obolensky lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Obolensky's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Obolensky stands and throws Roth's legs to the side, diving into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roth can't do much from the bottom here. Obolensky scoring with punches and elbows. Obolensky trying to control the action but Roth is working from the bottom. Roth is looking to regain half guard here but Obolensky keeps moving and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roth is still trying to improve position. Obolensky trying to control the position but Roth is working away. Roth prevents Obolensky from improving position. Roth is looking to regain half guard here but Obolensky keeps moving and retains side control. Roth manages to get back to half guard. Obolensky is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Obolensky trying to pass the guard but Roth defending well. Obolensky trying to control from half guard but Roth is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Obolensky landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Roth has hold of Obolensky's hands but Obolensky slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Obolensky performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Obolensky winds up and cracks Roth with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Obolensky is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Obolensky passes to side control. Obolensky looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Roth gets back to half guard. Obolensky lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Obolensky is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Roth! Obolensky raining down hammerfists from mount. Obolensky trying to control but he's not successful this time. Obolensky lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Obolensky connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roth is squirming around, avoiding Obolensky's attempts to control the action. Obolensky lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Obolensky has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Roth's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Obolensky lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Roth! Obolensky sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Roth and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
