Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Christie (ranked 2544 p4p, 1748 weight class) and Genkei Takahashi (ranked 211 p4p, 150 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Christie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Amityville. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steven Christie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genkei Takahashi!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christie connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Christie jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Christie looks to throw the jab but Takahashi is out of range.
Christie drops his hands momentarily and Takahashi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Takahashi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Christie throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Takahashi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Christie's knee momentarily.
