Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dawindi Buktot (ranked 24773 p4p, 24706 weight class) and Kulata Bitok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 26 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dawindi Buktot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 30 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Bitok closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Buktot can't do much from the bottom here. Bitok postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A lull in the action here as Bitok stalls from top position. Buktot tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buktot is trying to escape the position but Bitok is controlling the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Buktot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bitok tries to avoid it but Buktot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bitok to the ground. Bitok escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bitok follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Buktot fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bitok avoids it really well and circles away. Bitok lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dawindi Buktot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bitok scores with a takedown into Buktot's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot is trying to control the position but Bitok postures up. Bitok is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. It looks like Bitok might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Buktot controls Bitok momentarily but Bitok frees himself. Buktot seems keen to control Bitok's posture. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bitok looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kulata Bitok dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Buktot stuffs the takedown attempt from Bitok. Bitok gets slowly back to his feet. Buktot jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Buktot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bitok throws a big counter head kick but Buktot avoids it with no problem. That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Buktot with that takedown attempt. Bitok wants to counter the offense by Buktot and move into the clinch position. Bitok fails to land the takedown. Buktot thinks about countering with a body kick. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Buktot fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bitok to the ground. Buktot is now in Bitok's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Buktot controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Buktot's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Bitok is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buktot engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Bitok pulls Buktot in close to prevent any damage. Buktot controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bitok scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Bitok is controlling the pace.
Buktot is trying to get back to full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Dawindi Buktot dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Buktot looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Buktot throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bitok tries to get to full guard but Buktot has control of the leg. Bitok has a hand on Buktot's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Buktot takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bitok takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buktot avoids the attempt from Bitok to control. Buktot looking to control and managing it successfully. Bitok really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buktot tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bitok tries to hold on but Buktot pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bitok sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Buktot trying to control the action but Bitok is working from the bottom. Bitok is trying to maintain the position but Buktot is very close to passing his half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Buktot tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bitok defends well and Buktot ends up having to push Bitok into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Bitok is trying to counter with his kicks.

Bitok shoots in and gets a takedown into Buktot's guard. Bitok's corner is telling him to maintain position. Buktot has Bitok pulled in close to control his posture. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Buktot not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that's the end of the fight! Dawindi Buktot showed his dominance in that final round. I think Buktot has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
