Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bas Rutten!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aaronson closes the distance and pushes Rutten back into the cage.
Rutten is trying to break the clinch but Aaronson has him pressed against the cage.
Rutten is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Aaronson pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Aaronson really is a fat lump.
Rutten is trying to force a seperation but Aaronson has the dominant position.
Rutten wants a takedown.

Aaronson wants the takedown. Rutten is fighting it off but Aaronson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rutten's guard against the cage.
Rutten is wriggling around but Aaronson manages to pass to half guard.

Rutten is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Aaronson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rutten.
Rutten is taking a breather. Aaronson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rutten prevents Aaronson from improving his position.
It looks like Rutten is going to stand back up.

Still in half guard, Rutten seems content to control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Aaronson is looking to clinch.
Rutten bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Aaronson tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Brogan Aaronson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Rutten has his arm under Aaronson's chin here. Game over son! Rutten squeezes tightly and Aaronson is forced to tap out!
