Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brogan Aaronson (ranked 4330 p4p, 6222 weight class) and Bas Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bas Rutten will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brogan Aaronson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bas Rutten! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aaronson closes the distance and pushes Rutten back into the cage. Rutten is trying to break the clinch but Aaronson has him pressed against the cage. Rutten is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Aaronson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Aaronson really is a fat lump. Rutten is trying to force a seperation but Aaronson has the dominant position. Rutten wants a takedown.
Aaronson stalls. Aaronson wants the takedown. Rutten is fighting it off but Aaronson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rutten's guard against the cage. Rutten is wriggling around but Aaronson manages to pass to half guard.
Aaronson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rutten's head. Aaronson thows a huge punch but Rutten dodges it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aaronson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rutten moves into full guard.
Aaronson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Aaronson throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rutten trying to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aaronson won't allow Rutten to get back to his feet. Rutten trying to keep a closed guard but Aaronson is proving a slippery customer.
Aaronson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Aaronson won't allow Rutten to get back to his feet. Aaronson working some strikes from top position. Aaronson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Rutten keeping moving, preventing Aaronson from controlling successfully. Aaronson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Rutten's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aaronson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Aaronson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rutten is keeping the position for now. Aaronson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rutten trying to control the position.
Aaronson wants to control from the top but Rutten keeps moving. Aaronson looking to sit in guard and control but Rutten gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rutten preventing the sweep. Aaronson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Aaronson tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aaronson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rutten manages to pass to side control. Aaronson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rutten on the ground. Aaronson is staying active underneath Rutten, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rutten is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Aaronson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rutten. Rutten is taking a breather. Aaronson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rutten prevents Aaronson from improving his position. It looks like Rutten is going to stand back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Still in half guard, Rutten seems content to control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Brogan Aaronson dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Aaronson is looking to clinch. Rutten bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Aaronson tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Brogan Aaronson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rutten has his arm under Aaronson's chin here. Game over son! Rutten squeezes tightly and Aaronson is forced to tap out!
