Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kristian Obannion (ranked 4406 p4p, 4343 weight class) and Viktor Axelsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kristian Obannion! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Viktor Axelsen! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Axelsen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Obannion's waist but Obannion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Axelsen off to one side. Axelsen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Kristian Obannion has been cut. No luck for Obannion with that takedown attempt. Axelsen avoids the head kick by Obannion.
Axelsen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Obannion, pushing him back against the cage. Obannion pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Obannion misses with a kick to the body.
Obannion misses with a leg kick and Axelsen counters by moving into the clinch. Obannion can't find room to land a body shot as Axelsen controls the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Obannion misses with a punch to the body.
Obannion crunches a lovely knee into Axelsen's ribcage. Axelsen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A battle for position here, against the cage. Obannion with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Obannion with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Obannion crunches a lovely knee into Axelsen's ribcage. Obannion tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Axelsen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Axelsen wants the takedown. Obannion is fighting it off but Axelsen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Obannion's guard against the cage. Axelsen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Obannion had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Axelsen defends it easily. Obannion working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Axelsen won't allow Obannion to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Obannion wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Axelsen manages to pass to side control. Axelsen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Obannion keeping hold of Axelsen's head, controlling as best he can. Axelsen throwing shots but Obannion is blocking nicely. Obannion connecting with a few gentle strikes. Obannion tries to kick Axelsen off but Axelsen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Axelsen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Obannion's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Axelsen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Axelsen is looking to take a break and control but Obannion is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Axelsen drops an elbow to the side of Obannion's head. Axelsen is keen to just control but Obannion is a slippery customer. Obannion scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Axelsen manages to mount him!
Axelsen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Axelsen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Axelsen blocks Obannion's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Obannion wants to control but Axelsen is having none of it. Obannion tries to control Axelsen's body but Axelsen pushes him off. Obannion squirms to his side and now Axelsen has his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here.
Axelsen has got one arm under Obannion's chin. This could be trouble... Obannion trying to control the other hand but Axelsen gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Obannion has tapped out! The fight is over!
