Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Fratzen Geballer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris RipponSwaine! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Geballer fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Geballer misses with a hook. RipponSwaine scores with a shot to the body.
Geballer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Geballer trying to control the action but RipponSwaine is working from the bottom. Geballer is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Geballer wants to get back to his feet.
Geballer is pressing down on RipponSwaine's thigh, looking to free his foot. RipponSwaine is holding on for now. RipponSwaine is controlling Geballer's position as best he can from this difficult position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Geballer seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead RipponSwaine has recovered full guard. Geballer trying to control but RipponSwaine is working from the bottom. Geballer looking to sit in guard and control but RipponSwaine gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Geballer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. RipponSwaine doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. RipponSwaine manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Geballer is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Geballer throws his legs up looking for a submission but RipponSwaine uses it to pass to side control.
Geballer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. A control attempt from Geballer but he's now mounted! RipponSwaine content just to control the position here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Geballer tries to get back to half guard but can't. RipponSwaine sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. RipponSwaine blocks Geballer's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. RipponSwaine controlling his opponent. Geballer has given up his back here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris RipponSwaine dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
RipponSwaine looks to land a combination but Geballer avoids it well. Geballer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Geballer circles away from the clinch attempt.
RipponSwaine wants to clinch. RipponSwaine stalks Geballer and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Geballer's face. Geballer staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Fratzen Geballer has been cut. RipponSwaine looks to land a combination but Geballer avoids it well. Geballer has a takedown stuffed. RipponSwaine tries to clinch but Geballer is having none of it. Geballer looks for a takedown but RipponSwaine sprawls well. Geballer misses with a takedown attempt - RipponSwaine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fratzen Geballer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. RipponSwaine scores with a nice strike. Fratzen Geballer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Geballer seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. RipponSwaine shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Geballer is backing up but RipponSwaine catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Geballer covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! RipponSwaine Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
