Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stank Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gord Selk!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Selk takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Selk listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Selk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Good leg kick by Williams there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Selk throws a series of punches but Williams moves out of range.
A combination from Selk does no damage.
Williams shoots for a double leg takedown but Selk sprawls well. He's pushed Williams's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Selk misses with a double jab.
Selk moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Selk throws a nice looking combination but Williams bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Selk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Williams circles away quickly and effectively.
Selk is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Williams.

Williams scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Williams is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Williams is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Selk defends it well.

Williams is trying to work for a kimura but Selk is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams wants to stand but Selk has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Williams is breathing heavily.
Selk wants to get back to full guard.
Selk is holding on to half guard well.
Williams works his foot free and advances to mount.
Williams lands a big shot there that rocks Selk but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Selk is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Williams avoids the attempt from Selk to control.
Williams has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Selk can't escape the position.
Williams landing shots from mount.
Selk regains half guard.
Selk tries to get to full guard but Williams has control of the leg.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Selk actively working from the bottom here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Williams lands a nice short elbow.
Williams prevents Selk from improving his position.
Williams winds up and cracks Selk with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Selk is pressing down on Williams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Williams being controlled here momentarily.
Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Selk is retaining full guard.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Selk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Selk trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Selk has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though.
Williams tries to stand but Selk is controlling from the bottom.
Selk should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Williams working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Selk bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Williams's guard.
Selk passes into half guard.
Selk wants to free his trapped foot but Williams is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Williams has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Selk is working away from the top position though.
Selk trying to control the action but Williams is working from the bottom.
Selk working the head and body with strikes.
Selk throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Selk tries to pass to full mount but Williams defends it.
Selk controlling the action here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Gord Selk will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Selk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Selk just misses with a punch to the body.
Selk swats away the attempt to clinch by Williams.
Williams has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Williams takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Williams throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Selk misses with the combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Williams.
Selk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Williams manages to avoid it.
Selk throws a series of punches but Williams avoids them all with ease.
Selk lands with a nice combination. Williams backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Stank Williams has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Williams takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Selk closes the distance and pushes Williams back into the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Selk breaks the clinch.
Selk connects with a looping right hand.
Selk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williams moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Selk throws a right and a left that Williams avoids nicely.
Williams avoids a punch combination nicely.
A cross from Selk lands.

Selk rushes Williams and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Williams prevents the takedown attempt.
Nice body punch from Selk.
Selk tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Williams just stands there and leans against the cage.
Selk digs a right hand into Williams's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Williams's gas tank.
Selk has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Williams avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Stank Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gord Selk.

Selk pulls Williams into guard.
Selk controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself.
Williams wants to control from the top but Selk keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Selk looking for a triangle here. Williams is fighting it but it looks tight! Selk pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Williams is tapping out - this one is all over!
