And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate Iii works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gunn throws a sloppy head kick
and Tate Iii decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gunn's guard.
Tate Iii seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tate Iii's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Tate Iii slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tate Iii stands and steps away. Gunn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tate Iii lands with a right hand.
Tate Iii has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas in the buildup to the fight.

Gunn takes a shot to the body in his stride.

BOOM! Tate Iii lands a beautiful left hook that drops Gunn. Gunn tries to recover but Tate Iii is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Gunn lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
