Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 24720 p4p, 24484 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 31 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 31 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga shoots in and drives through. Salvacion sprawls well.
Salvacion follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Amiga keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Salvacion fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Amiga.

Salvacion misses with a head kick.
Amiga throws a quick counter kick to the body but Salvacion avoids it.
Salvacion gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Amiga counters with a nice body shot.
Gakus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion.
Nice takedown defense from Salvacion. No joy for Amiga on that attempt.

Salvacion gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Amiga to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Salvacion pulls Amiga in close to his closed guard and prevents Amiga from doing any damage or advancing position.

Amiga tries to free his leg and advance position but Salvacion is retaining full guard.
Amiga throws a strike but Salvacion rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salvacion trying to control the position from guard on top but Amiga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Salvacion shoots in but Amiga avoids the takedown attempt easily.
It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gakus Amiga dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Salvacion looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Amiga is fending him off so far but Salvacion persists. Nope, Amiga circles away and we're back to standing.
Amiga jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Salvacion closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Amiga's guard.
Amiga looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Salvacion puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Salvacion looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Salvacion is trying to control. Amiga wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Amiga is trying to control but Salvacion manages to pass to mount!
Amiga is looking to get to half guard.
Salvacion controlling the pace for now.
Salvacion avoids the attempt from Amiga to control.
Amiga is trying desperately to improve position.

Amiga is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Amiga is squirming around, avoiding Salvacion's attempts to control the action.
Amiga tries to hold on but Salvacion postures up.
Salvacion controlling his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amiga holds on to Salvacion as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salvacion controlling the position easily from mount.
Amiga is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Amiga really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Salvacion tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Richard John Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Salvacion scores with a takedown into Amiga's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Amiga is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion seems keen to control Amiga's posture.
Salvacion's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Salvacion looking to hit a scissor sweep but Amiga is one step ahead there.
Salvacion has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Salvacion controls Amiga momentarily but Amiga frees himself.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Amiga gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Salvacion shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Salvacion was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Richard John Salvacion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Salvacion has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
