The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stupin was well out of range. Poor timing from Stones.
Stones keeps the fight on the outside.

Stupin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Stones scores with a sloppy right hand. Stupin should have avoided that one.
Stupin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Stones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stupin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Stones lunges at Stupin with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Stupin's hand.

Stones connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Stones is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Stones jabs Stupin right on the nose. Stupin blinks but takes it well.
Stones cracks Stupin with an open hand slap.
Stones catches Stupin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Stupin has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Stupin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stones.
Nice uppercut lands for Stones. That snapped Stupin's head back.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stupin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Stupin there as he acknowledges the shot.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Stupin might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Stones has got the better of the exchanges.

John Stones showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Stones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
