Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Hanson (ranked 649 p4p, 530 weight class) and Fortunado Sampaio (ranked 108 p4p, 85 weight class). Sampaio has chosen Corre Riba Corre Baixo as his entrance music. Fortunado Sampaio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, David Hanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Fortunado Sampaio! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sampaio smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Hanson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Sampaio fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hanson manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sampaio thows a leg kick but Hanson checks it and Hanson counters with a takedown into side control. Hanson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hanson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Sampaio is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sampaio is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sampaio is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Sampaio is still trying to improve position. Check out the look on Hanson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Hanson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sampaio knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sampaio wants to control but Hanson postures up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sampaio can do anything to dispel that myth. Hanson fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Hanson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Sampaio is trying to control Hanson's posture but Hanson avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hanson working the ground and pound.
It looks like Fortunado Sampaio has been cut. Sampaio is trying to improve his position. Hanson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hanson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hanson in side control, throwing shots but Sampaio defends. Hanson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sampaio looks calm but he's in trouble here. Hanson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sampaio is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Hanson lets go of the hold and Sampaio can pop his arm back in it's socket.
