Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roland Jerverup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hornink Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roland Jerverup could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Hornink Griffin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roland Jerverup! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hornink Griffin! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Griffin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jerverup.
Griffin gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jerverup prevents a takedown attempt there.
Griffin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jerverup has had enough of the clinch but Griffin keeps him there for the moment. Jerverup tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jerverup goes for a takedown attempt but Griffin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jerverup tries to clinch but Griffin moves away and Griffin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jerverup's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jerverup holds on and takes a little breather. Jerverup has a closed guard, preventing Griffin from standing up. Griffin wants to control from the top but Jerverup keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jerverup preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jerverup pulls Griffin in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Griffin throwing strikes but missing. Jerverup on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jerverup tries to get out of the position. Jerverup is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Griffin dives into side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jab by Jerverup.
It looks like Hornink Griffin has been cut. Jerverup looks to land a combination but Griffin avoids it well. Jerverup looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Griffin fails to land the takedown. Roland Jerverup has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hornink Griffin. Griffin swinging wilding here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jerverup as he avoids it easily. Jerverup throws a combination that misses and Griffin counters with a single leg into guard. Jerverup didn't expect that. Griffin looks gassed! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Griffin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jerverup is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Griffin passes Jerverup's left leg - he's now in half guard. Jerverup is trying to control but Griffin manages to pass to mount!
Griffin avoids the attempt from Jerverup to control. Jerverup is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jerverup wants to control but Griffin is having none of it. Griffin tries to control but Jerverup wriggling away. Jerverup wants to hold on but Griffin pushes him away. Griffin looking to control and managing it successfully. Jerverup working to try and regain half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Griffin looking to ground and pound but Jerverup is blocking nicely. Griffin wants to control the pace but Jerverup is squirming around nicely. Jerverup regains half guard. Jerverup pushes Griffin off looking to stand but Griffin dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hornink Griffin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hornink Griffin's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jerverup shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Griffin as he jumps to the side. Griffin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Griffin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Griffin throws a head kick that misses. Jerverup looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Griffin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jerverup is one step ahead there. Jerverup controls from within his opponent's guard. Jerverup wants to stand but Griffin is controlling his posture from full guard. Griffin is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Griffin is pulling down on Jerverup's head to control his posture. Jerverup trying to control but Griffin is working from the bottom. Jerverup stands up and waves to Griffin to follow him. Jerverup tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jerverup gets a takedown into half guard. Jerverup seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Griffin punching from the bottom.
Griffin makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Griffin. Jerverup would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Griffin kicks Jerverup off and gets to his feet. Griffin is looking to clinch. Griffin misses with a two punch combination.
Jerverup goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Griffin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jerverup as he jumps to the side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jerverup instigates a clinch. Griffin wants a takedown but no success here.
Roland Jerverup has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hornink Griffin. Griffin wants a takedown.

Jerverup changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Griffin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jerverup fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Griffin throws a good cross that connects.
Jerverup sizes up Griffin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Griffin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jerverup circles away quickly and effectively. Jerverup shoots for a takedown but Griffin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jerverup tries for a takedown but Griffin circles away easily and Griffin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Griffin jumps guard and drags Jerverup to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Griffin kicks Jerverup off and gets to his feet. Jerverup thows a leg kick but Griffin checks it and Griffin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Griffin. Jerverup has had enough of the clinch but Griffin keeps him there for the moment. Jerverup wants a takedown.
Griffin lands a body shot in the clinch.
Griffin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jerverup is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Griffin gets underhooks to prevent Jerverup's takedown attempt.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jerverup is trying to keep Griffin in close.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roland Jerverup will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Hornink Griffin's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Griffin shoots in but Jerverup avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jerverup misses with a combination
and Griffin counters by clinching up. Jerverup tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Griffin smiles and moves away.
Jerverup throws a right hand that Griffin ducks under and follows up with a left that Griffin also avoids with ease. Griffin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jerverup! Griffin cracks Jerverup with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jerverup is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Griffin controlling from mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Griffin trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jerverup is working to get back to half guard.

Jerverup tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jerverup holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Griffin tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Jerverup tries to reverse the position but Griffin maintains control. Jerverup wants to hold on but Griffin pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Jerverup is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Griffin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Griffin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jerverup in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Jerverup tries to reverse the position but Griffin maintains control. Griffin with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Jerverup is trying to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Griffin trying to control but he's not successful this time. Griffin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jerverup trying desperately to get to his feet.
Griffin content just to control the position here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jerverup avoids a series of strikes thrown by Griffin.
And that's the end of the fight! Hornink Griffin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Griffin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
