Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Shewmaker (ranked 1518 p4p, 2388 weight class) and Fred Leer (ranked 73 p4p, 112 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Henry Shewmaker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fred Leer! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leer misses the shot to the body. Shewmaker misses with a double jab
and Leer counters with a left and a right that stings Shewmaker. Leer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Shewmaker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leer circles away quickly and effectively. Leer tries to clinch but Shewmaker is having none of it. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Shewmaker crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Leer - the referee stops the clock and Shewmaker gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Leer. Shewmaker manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Leer is looking to clinch. Leer has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Shewmaker is landing a low percentage of strikes. Leer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shewmaker looks to land a left hand but Leer moved out of range nicely. Leer is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Leer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Leer throws a head kick but Shewmaker moves out of range.
As Leer looks to move away, Shewmaker throws a big counter combo but Leer just gets out of the way. Shewmaker throws a lazy head kick and Leer counters with a series of strikes. Shewmaker will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Leer. Shewmaker loads up on a big right hand but Leer slips the punch. Shewmaker throws an off balance right hand
and Leer counters with a one-two to the body. Leer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shewmaker. Shewmaker misses with a head kick.
Leer looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Shewmaker rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Leer finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Shewmaker is breathing heavily. Leer pushes Shewmaker away with a front kick. Leer scores with a kick to the body.
Shewmaker takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Leer connects with a crisp jab. Shewmaker throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Henry Shewmaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Leer chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Leer scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Leer looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Leer feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Shewmaker collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
