Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Don Puncharello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hankook Yokohama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Hankook Yokohama was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yokohama drops his hands momentarily and Puncharello takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Don Puncharello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yokohama moves into the clinch.
Puncharello is pressed up against the ropes. Yokohama has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Puncharello down to the mat. Puncharello avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Yokohama wants to clinch.
Yokohama will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Yokohama walks into a stiff left hand from Puncharello.

Puncharello connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Yokohama tries to score with a low kick but Puncharello moves his leg out of the way.

Puncharello fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Yokohama forces Puncharello back against the ropes and clinches.
Yokohama has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Puncharello avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Don Puncharello has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hankook Yokohama.

Yokohama pulls guard effortlessly.

Puncharello wants to control from the top but Yokohama keeps moving.
Yokohama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Puncharello doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Puncharello manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Puncharello accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Yokohama shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Puncharello lands with a straight right. Yokohama didn't see that one coming.

Puncharello connects with a right hand. Yokohama shakes it off.
Yokohama is rocked!
Puncharello is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Puncharello takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Yokohama is still on wobbly legs! Can Puncharello finish him?
Puncharello drops Yokohama with a naaaaasty hook - Yokohama is in real trouble here! Puncharello dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Don Puncharello!
