Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Menes Kai (ranked 3609 p4p, 5082 weight class) and Charles Lee (ranked 404 p4p, 483 weight class). Kai's entrance music is The Astronaut - Jin. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Lee!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kai tries to score with a low kick but Lee moves his leg out of the way.
Lee fails to land the takedown.
Kai misses the shot to the body.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch but Kai swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kai looks to throw the jab but Lee is out of range.
Kai moves forwards but Lee connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Lee goes for a double leg but Kai avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kai continues to drive forward.
Lee defending well as Kai loads up on a big left hand.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Kai pushes him off.

Lee gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kai blocks an uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Lee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lee clinches up against the cage.
Kai misses with a hook from the clinch.

Kai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Lee counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Kai fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kai takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kai pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Lee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kai is fending him off so far but Lee persists. Nope, Kai circles away and we're back to standing.
Menes Kai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Lee.
Kai slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kai misses with a looping right.
Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kai manages to avoid it.
Kai blocks a jab.
Lee throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kai sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lee gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lee moves out of range of the body kick from Kai.
Nice sprawl there from Kai as Lee shoots in.
Lee avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kai plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Charles Lee has been cut.
Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kai.

Menes Kai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kai thows a left - swing and a miss!
And Lee tries to counter it with a takedown but Kai pushes his down on his head and steps out.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kai.
Lee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kai is fending him off so far but Lee persists. Nope, Kai circles away and we're back to standing.

Kai misses with a right hand
and Lee counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kai has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ludus Magnus in the buildup to the fight.
Lee is looking to clinch but Kai is avoiding it.
Kai misses with a head kick.
Kai darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Kai throws a hook but Lee blocks it.
Lee moves out of range of the strikes.
Kai scores with a head kick. Lee tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
A jab from Lee does it's job there.

Lee moves into range and clinches up with Kai.
Lee misses with a hook to the ribs.
Lee scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Lee swings wildly with an uppercut but Kai uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kai is trying to break the clinch but Lee has him pressed against the cage.
Kai blocking some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kai.
Kai lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kai wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Lee looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kai is fending him off so far but Lee persists. Nope, Kai circles away and we're back to standing.
Menes Kai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kai throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Lee.
Kai lands with a slapping head kick.

Lee is rocked!
Kai drops Lee with a naaaaasty hook - Lee is in real trouble here! Kai dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
