Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Axton Burgess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimo Apolo!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apolo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Burgess connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Apolo scrambles back to his feet.
Burgess connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Apolo ducks under a wild hook from Burgess.
Burgess jabbing away but nothing is landing.
We've been told by Burgess's head coaches at FIGHT FOUNDERS (CA) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Apolo throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

It looks like Axton Burgess has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burgess wants to clinch
and Apolo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Apolo avoids the body shot from Burgess.

Burgess lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Apolo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Apolo takes a swing at Burgess's ribcage but misses.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Burgess counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Burgess takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Apolo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Apolo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Burgess.
Apolo connects with a looping right hand.

Burgess misses with a wild body shot.
Apolo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Burgess counters with a lovely shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Apolo throws a lazy uppercut
and Apolo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Burgess fails in his attempt to clinch.
Apolo throws a body shot but no joy.
Burgess clinches with his opponent.
Burgess swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Burgess misses with a punch on the inside.
Burgess lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Apolo or not.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Apolo jumps guard but Burgess stands there with Apolo around his waist. Apolo gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Apolo tries to pull guard but Burgess forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Apolo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Burgess smiles and moves away.
Axton Burgess has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kimo Apolo.

letting Burgess counter with a right hand.
Burgess closes the distance but Apolo moves to the side
enabling Apolo to counter with a crisp jab.
Burgess fails in his attempt to clinch.
Apolo looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Apolo works Burgess's body with a nice hook.
Apolo lunges at Burgess with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Burgess's hand.
Burgess throws a hook but Apolo blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Apolo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Burgess closes the distance but Apolo moves to the side
and Apolo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Apolo throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Burgess to counter with a crisp jab.
Burgess throws a lazy right hand but Apolo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Apolo! But no joy.
Apolo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Burgess's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burgess misses with an uppercut
and Apolo counters with a crisp right hand that drops Burgess! Apolo lets Burgess back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Burgess is rocked!
Axton Burgess's cut is getting worse.
Apolo misses with a left hand
and Burgess counters with a stiff right hand.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Axton Burgess will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Axton Burgess's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Apolo cracks Burgess on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Burgess falls backwards against the cage. Apolo follows up with more strikes that drop Burgess to his knees. Apolo keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Burgess! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kimo Apolo!
