Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Hamada (ranked 1783 p4p, 1507 weight class) and Adrian Rose (ranked 240 p4p, 205 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Ryo Hamada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adrian Rose! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamada throws a body shot but no joy. Rose lands a head shot. Rose with a jab. Rose scores with a nice head shot. Rose takes a swing at Hamada's ribcage but misses. Hamada is looking to clinch but Rose is avoiding it.
Rose throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rose throws a jab when Hamada was well out of range. Rose drives through and clinches with Hamada against the cage.
Rose stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rose tries to throw a body punch but Hamada avoids it by throwing Rose back against the cage. Hamada blocks an uppercut.
Rose manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rose holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Rose misses with a hook from the clinch. Rose displaying some good clinch control by pressing Hamada up against the cage. Rose pressing his opponent against the cage. Rose receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Rose misses with a short punch on the inside. Rose tries a body shot but Hamada blocks it.
Rose is pressed up against the cage. Hamada has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rose down to the mat. Rose avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hamada closes the distance but Rose moves to the side and Rose connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rose scores with a nice head shot. Hamada doesn't manage to clinch there - Rose circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rose tries to sprawl but Hamada drives through with a takedown into half guard. Rose moves into full guard.
Rose looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rose looking for a sweep. Not yet Rose, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamada trying to control but Rose is working from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rose is on top in guard.
Rose makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Hamada can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rose controls the pace. Hamada has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Rose has passed into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hamada tries to get back to half guard but can't. Rose working the head and body with strikes. Hamada tries to buck Rose off but Rose is having none of it. Rose is staying tight to Hamada's torso, preventing him from escaping. Rose scoring with punches from side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hamada is trying to escape the position but Rose is controlling the position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Adrian Rose dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Rose connects with a solid leg kick. Hamada avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hamada fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rose has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rose jabs at Hamada's body. Rose misses with a kick to the body.

Hamada throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rose's waist but Rose gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hamada off to one side. Hamada throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Ryo Hamada is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hamada avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hamada tests Rose's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hamada tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rose swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hamada tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hamada missing with a left hand there. Rose was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. The fighters circle momentarily. Rose darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Jab, jab by Rose - just one landing. Hamada misses with a right hand and Rose counters with a stiff right hand. Rose closes the distance and clinches. Rose on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hamada jumps guard but Rose turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Hamada drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rose pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rose attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. An attempted straight right counter from Hamada misses the target. Ryo Hamada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hamada misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rose.
A little jabbing left from Rose on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Rose misses with a left hand and Hamada counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hamada looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hamada prevents Rose from improving his position. Hamada wants to control but Rose is keeping him busy. Rose preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Hamada is trying to control the action in half guard but Rose is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hamada trying to work for an americana but Rose has managed to regain full guard.
Hamada controlling from the top position. Rose pulls Hamada in close to his closed guard and prevents Hamada from doing any damage or advancing position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Rose wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hamada takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Rose uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hamada.

It looks like Ryo Hamada has been cut. Hamada takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rose scores with a decent looking hook. Hamada shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rose is trying to defend but Hamada finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Rose is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hamada's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hamada's back! Oooh a big shot gets through from Rose. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Adrian Rose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ryo Hamada's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Hamada scores with a nice strike. Hamada ducks under a wild hook from Rose. Hamada pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Hamada looks to land a combination but Rose avoids it well. Hamada's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rose connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hamada scrambles back to his feet. Good exchange - Rose coming out on top. Rose scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A big right from Rose misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hamada is defended easily by Rose. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hamada scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Adrian Rose has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Rose there. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rose lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hamada has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hamada and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Rose showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hamada.

A jab from Hamada does it's job there. Hamada with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rose to score with a decent uppercut. Rose circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rose keeps the fight on the outside. Hamada connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rose momentarily.
Rose scores with a punch to the head. Rose staying out of range there. Rose now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Hamada misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rose.
Adrian Rose is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hamada drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Rose keeping moving, preventing Hamada from controlling successfully. Rose is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rose content to control rather than advance. Rose lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Rose sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hamada defending well though. Rose is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hamada! Rose landing punches. Rose postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hamada looks a forlorn figure.
Hamada is bucking up trying to escape but Rose cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Rose controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hamada is trying desperately to improve position. Hamada regains half guard. Rose lands strikes from half guard. Ryo Hamada has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rose is trying to control. Hamada wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Still in half guard, Rose seems content to control. Rose is keen to just control but Hamada is a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! Adrian Rose comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rose has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
