Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darrow O Lykos (ranked 5443 p4p, 4885 weight class) and Thomas English (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). English has chosen Muffin Man as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darrow O Lykos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas English!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

English drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
O Lykos can't do much from the bottom here.
English works to advance to full mount. O Lykos defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

O Lykos is looking to get to half guard.
O Lykos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for English on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

O Lykos tries to hold on but English postures up.
O Lykos definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

English goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now O Lykos is on top in guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
O Lykos is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
English lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

English throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as O Lykos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

O Lykos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

English fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but O Lykos avoids it really well and circles away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if English can do anything to dispel that myth.

O Lykos loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
O Lykos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

English has his foot on O Lykos's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. O Lykos works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Darrow O Lykos will probably get the nod.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

English is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but O Lykos is surviving well by controlling English's body position as best he can.

O Lykos is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because English is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

English has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, O Lykos has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
