This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 8 losses; Cole Orion! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 17 wins and 3 losses; Ivan Kamenev! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Kamenev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kamenev wants it to stay on the feet. Orion has been working on his boxing with his coaches at HELLCADEMY BJJ in the buildup to the fight. Orion shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kamenev holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Orion drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kamenev gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cole Orion. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kamenev gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Orion regains guard.

Orion is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kamenev defends well. Kamenev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Orion swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
