Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Masterson (ranked 1821 p4p, 3353 weight class) and Rafa Peziev (ranked 151 p4p, 257 weight class). Rafa Peziev will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rafa Peziev!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peziev scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Masterson has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

We've been informed that Peziev has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Masterson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Peziev is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
