Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Yamasaki (ranked 2640 p4p, 3828 weight class) and Mason Duval (ranked 201 p4p, 293 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Yamasaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mason Duval! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Duval throws a right and a left that both miss. Duval throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Duval lands with a right hand. We've been hearing reports that Yamasaki has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Duval throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Duval misses with a body punch
and Yamasaki counters with a single leg into guard. Duval didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yamasaki throws a big elbow that misses. Yamasaki sitting in guard here, content to control. Duval utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Yamasaki trying to control but Duval is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yamasaki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Duval is keeping the position for now. Yamasaki has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Yamasaki trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Yamasaki trying to control the position from guard on top but Duval is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamasaki being controlled here momentarily. Duval is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Yamasaki wants to control from the top but Duval keeps moving. Yamasaki is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Duval is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Duval wants to get back to his feet but Yamasaki is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Duval seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Yamasaki drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Duval manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Yamasaki has Duval in his guard. Duval trying to control the position from guard on top but Yamasaki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamasaki has an active guard here but Duval has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Yamasaki is pressing down on Duval's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Yamasaki has his feet on Duval's thighs here. He's pushed Duval off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Duval screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
