Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vildomar Cardoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liu Williamson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williamson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kings and Queesn - Aerosmith kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cardoso cracks Williamson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Liu Williamson has been cut. Cardoso looks for the body kick but Williamson saw that one coming. Cardoso throws a head kick that misses. Cardoso smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Williamson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Cardoso keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cardoso wants to improve his position but Williamson is controlling well.
Williamson throwing shots but Cardoso is blocking nicely. Williamson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Well, if Williamson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Williamson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Cardoso is looking to escape. Williamson wants to pass the guard but Cardoso is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cardoso trying to control from the bottom.
Williamson misses with a head shot. Cardoso uses the momentum to regain guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Williamson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Williamson looks gassed! Cardoso tries to clinch but Williamson moves out of range. Cardoso swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Williamson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Williamson is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Cardoso not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Williamson throwing strikes from guard but Cardoso blocks nicely. Williamson stands and steps away. Cardoso gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cardoso gets caught flat footed, as Williamson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Cardoso wants to stand up but Williamson is controlling him. Williamson trying to control the position from guard on top but Cardoso is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cardoso throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Williamson wants to control from the top but Cardoso keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Liu Williamson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Liu Williamson's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cardoso is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Williamson on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Williamson thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Cardoso to regain full guard. Williamson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Williamson controlling from the top position. Williamson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Williamson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williamson is in close to Cardoso's body, working some short punches and elbows. Williamson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Williamson with a nice head shot there. Williamson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Williamson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Williamson stands up and waves to Cardoso to follow him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williamson blocks a head kick by Cardoso.
Cardoso misses with a takedown and Williamson counters with a nice double leg into guard. Williamson trying to control the position from guard on top but Cardoso is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williamson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Cardoso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Williamson on the ground. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Williamson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Cardoso keeping moving, preventing Williamson from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Liu Williamson will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Liu Williamson's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Cardoso falls off balance throwing a combination
and Williamson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cardoso's guard. Cardoso wants to sweep here but Williamson controlling him for the moment. Williamson trying to control the position from guard on top but Cardoso is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Williamson gets to his feet - Cardoso follows without any prompting. Cardoso wants to clinch and Williamson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cardoso won't be happy with that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cardoso takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Check out the look on Williamson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Williamson lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Williamson scores with punches from side control. Williamson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cardoso to his feet. Williamson dodges the punch combination from Cardoso.
Williamson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Liu Williamson has got the better of the ground game so far. Cardoso is not content to let Williamson control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williamson is putting a hurting on Cardoso here, landing some big shots from side control. Williamson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Williamson scores with a couple of short elbows. Cardoso is trying to get back to his feet. Cardoso takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Williamson scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Cardoso to see if he's OK. Williamson trying to control the action but Cardoso is working from the bottom. The ground and pound from Williamson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Liu Williamson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Williamson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Cardoso slips a jab and a cross from Williamson.
And that's the end of the fight! Liu Williamson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Williamson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
