Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Horishi Kagawa (ranked 3008 p4p, 2933 weight class) and Charles Maine (ranked 360 p4p, 354 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Horishi Kagawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Charles Maine! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kagawa has a takedown stuffed. Maine swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kagawa!
It looks like Charles Maine has been cut. Horishi Kagawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maine is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kagawa's half guard. Maine performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Maine passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kagawa! Kagawa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Maine slips a nice elbow through Kagawa's hands, connecting with Kagawa's forehead. Maine slows the pace down in half guard. Maine is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kagawa doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Maine. Kagawa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Maine is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maine winds up and cracks Kagawa with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kagawa wants to get back to his feet. Kagawa looking for subs from the bottom but Maine mounts him! Maine putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Kagawa regains half guard. Kagawa wants to get back to his feet. Kagawa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Maine scoring with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maine stays in close to Kagawa's body and controls the position. Kagawa is looking to stand back up but Maine counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kagawa. Maine is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Maine is working for a kimura but Kagawa is defending it quite comfortably.
Maine looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kagawa looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Maine dominated that round. The cut man is working on Charles Maine's cut. That's time! Kagawa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Sloppy strikes from Kagawa. Those never looked like landing. Maine throws out a counter right but Kagawa avoids it with no problem. Maine has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Kagawa steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Maine. Kagawa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Horishi Kagawa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice defenses there by Kagawa. Kagawa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Maine. Maine showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kagawa.
Maine throws a predictable looking body shot
and Kagawa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Maine gets the takedown into side control. Maine works to advance to full mount. Kagawa defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Maine controlling from mount. We've been informed that Maine has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maine landing punches. Maine controlling the position easily from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Maine cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Maine tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Maine landing strikes from the mount and Kagawa is in trouble! Maine sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kagawa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Maine is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kagawa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kagawa slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Maine lands a nice short elbow. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Maine in particular looking to stall. Kagawa actively working from the bottom here. Charles Maine has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maine working Kagawa over with strikes. Maine passes to full mount! Maine takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. BOOM! Maine connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kagawa regains half guard. Maine keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Maine trying to mount his opponent but Kagawa defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maine is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Maine is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kagawa is trying to stand. Maine lands a couple of good shots and Kagawa has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Kagawa is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Maine.
Kagawa is trying to stand back up. Maine is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maine is cranking Kagawa's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Kagawa! He's tightened the choke and Kagawa is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Charles Maine! A relieved looking Charles Maine thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
