And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Han Mariduena!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ann missing with a left hand there. Mariduena was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mariduena fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ann misses with a looping left.
Mariduena looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ann avoids the body shot from Mariduena.

enabling Ann to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Han Mariduena has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mariduena throws a leg kick
and Ann counters with a straight right hand.
Mariduena slips a jab from Ann.
Ann changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ann lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mariduena's sensitive parts.

Mariduena changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ann looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ann gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Ann holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mariduena tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Mariduena working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Ann is trying to reverse the position but instead Mariduena has taken his back - oops!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ann wants to control his opponent's hands but Mariduena gets his hands free.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mariduena throwing wild punches that miss their target.
Ann just trying to survive but Mariduena is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Mariduena lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Ann hold on?!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mariduena has the hooks in. Ann is starting to panic. He's trying to push off one of the legs but he's left his neck open to attack. Mariduena passes his arm under Ann's neck and tightens up a rear naked choke! This one is surely all over! Yes, Ann taps!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Han Mariduena!
Han Mariduena made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Quien es el siguiente!!!'.
