Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pino Noir (ranked 3819 p4p, 5699 weight class) and Joe Diddy (ranked 457 p4p, 567 weight class). Diddy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. lvl99ROIDMAGE kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pino Noir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Diddy! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Noir throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A punch lands to the side of Diddy 's head but he takes it in his stride. Diddy on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Noir swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Diddy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Noir counters with a lovely straight right hand! Noir throws a shot to the body.
Diddy on the wrong end of a nice jab. Noir looks to land a right hand but Diddy moved out of range. Diddy dives in for a single leg takedown but Noir sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Noir throws a sloppy head kick and Diddy moves out of range easily. Noir connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Noir defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diddy. Pino Noir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Diddy. Diddy shoots for a double leg takedown but Noir sprawls well. He's pushed Diddy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Noir is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Noir lands a nice shot to the body.
Noir scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Noir looks to land a combination but Diddy avoids it well. A little jabbing left from Diddy on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Noir tries to sprawl but Diddy drives through with a takedown into half guard. Diddy wants to take a breather but Noir is having none of it. Noir gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noir looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Noir will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Diddy tries to free his leg and advance position but Noir is retaining full guard. Diddy passes into half guard. Noir trying to hold on to Diddy's head to control him but Diddy postures up.
Diddy trying to pass the guard but Noir defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diddy is working for a submission of some sort.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Diddy connects with a nice short shot to Noir's temple.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diddy wants to free his trapped foot but Noir is holding on for dear life with his legs. Noir trying to control from the bottom.
Diddy passes to side control. Noir managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Diddy.
Noir looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Diddy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Noir keeps working. Diddy throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Diddy cracks Noir with an elbow. That is naaassty. Diddy connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Noir some visible discomfort.
Diddy sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Noir is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Diddy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Noir keeps working.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diddy tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Diddy wants to control for a moment but Noir uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Noir is looking to improve his position.
Diddy moves nicely into side control. Diddy trying to control the action but Noir is working from the bottom. Noir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diddy on the ground. Diddy in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Noir struggling a bit here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diddy wants to control but Noir is keeping him busy. Diddy tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Diddy has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Noir defending against the ground and pound. Diddy tries to move into full mount but can't pass Noir's legs. Noir tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Diddy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Diddy working the ground and pound. Diddy looking to control but instead Noir has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Noir is looking for a sweep. Diddy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Pino Noir will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Diddy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Noir pinned against the cage. Noir gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Noir scores with a nice right hand.
Noir works the jab nicely. Noir is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Diddy shoots in and drives through. Noir sprawls well. Noir is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Diddy misses with a takedown attempt and Diddy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Pino Noir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Diddy. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Noir, as that shot connected.
Diddy tries for a takedown but Noir circles away easily and Noir counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Diddy thinking. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diddy shoots and misses and Noir counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Diddy shoots for a takedown but Noir saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Diddy takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
This has been an exciting period of action! Diddy takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've been informed that Diddy has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Diddy with a lazy takedown attempt and Noir counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Diddy thinking. Diddy is breathing heavily. Diddy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Noir with a body punch. A glancing blow. Noir scores with a punch to the head. Noir lands the left hand.
Diddy is rocked! Diddy walks straight into a right hand from Noir - that's dropped him! Noir jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Diddy from any more punishment! Diddy complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
