Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Wyatt (ranked 5259 p4p, 3551 weight class) and Andre Driver (ranked 259 p4p, 206 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tony Wyatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Andre Driver!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wyatt moves into the clinch.
Driver lands a left hand that snaps the head of Wyatt backwards.
Wyatt tries to pull guard but Driver won't allow it.

Wyatt is looking for a triangle but Driver pushes his legs off easily.

Wyatt working for a triangle but Driver defends it easily.

Wyatt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Driver doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Driver manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Wyatt can't keep his opponent in guard - Driver advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Driver looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Driver is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

It looks like Tony Wyatt has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Wyatt wants to control but Driver postures up.

Driver felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Wyatt has been working on his balance at Cozad The Island, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Driver.
Wyatt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Driver walks away with a smile on his face. Wyatt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Driver wants to control from the top but Wyatt keeps moving.

Wyatt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Driver swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Driver got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wyatt has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Driver has managed to get both his arms back between Wyatt's legs - danger averted.
