Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emilio Morterero (ranked 4650 p4p, 4077 weight class) and Chance Mora (ranked 521 p4p, 484 weight class). Morterero comes into the arena with Tequila Sunrise (Spanish Version) blaring out of the sound system. Emilio Morterero could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Chance Mora's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Emilio Morterero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chance Mora! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morterero moves out of range as Mora strikes. Morterero throws a right hand that misses
and Mora counters with a nice double leg into side control. Morterero won't be happy with that. Morterero is trying to get back to his feet. Mora grinds an elbow into Morterero's temple. Mora in side control, throwing shots but Morterero defends. Mora landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Mora cracks Morterero with a big right hand but Morterero just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Morterero is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Mora wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morterero keeps working. Morterero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mora on the ground. Morterero wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mora working the ground and pound. Mora lands an elbow.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mora landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Mora in side control, throwing shots but Morterero defends. Mora grinds an elbow into Morterero's temple. Mora creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Mora working the ground and pound.
 Morterero is rocked! Mora scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Morterero is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Mora can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chance Mora! After the fight, Chance Mora was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
