The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Heliogabale closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Santos to the mat! Santos manages to get full guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Heliogabale (2) vs (0) Santos Heliogabale trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Heliogabale showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Santos is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Heliogabale is aware though and is defending well. Santos looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Heliogabale controls from within his opponent's guard. Heliogabale wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving. Heliogabale sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Santos's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heliogabale trying to control from half guard but Santos is working away. Santos tries to roll over but Heliogabale keeps him under control. Santos makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Santos.

Santos seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Heliogabale paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Heliogabale's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Santos picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
