Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Sinclaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Ribery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ribery misses with a jab, cross combination.

Nice sprawl there from Ribery as Sinclaire shoots in. Sinclaire really is a fat lump. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sinclaire. Ribery looking to land some kicks to the body here.

It looks like Shane Sinclaire has been cut. Sinclaire shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ribery pinned against the cage. Ribery gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shane Sinclaire. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sinclaire fails with a takedown attempt. Sinclaire tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ribery sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sinclaire somewhat. That's one minute gone in the round. Ribery throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Ribery really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sinclaire. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ribery is trying to control Sinclaire's posture but Sinclaire avoids it. Sinclaire looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Sinclaire is trying to get an arm triangle but Ribery is defending well. Sinclaire is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ribery knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Ribery wants to control but Sinclaire postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ribery keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ribery moves into range and throws a big uppercut. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ribery missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Sinclaire is pressing down on Ribery's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Sinclaire jumps guard but Ribery stands there with Sinclaire around his waist. Sinclaire gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd cheers as Ribery lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sinclaire doesn't seem phased though. Ribery smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Sinclaire closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sinclaire in the domination position with Ribery hanging on. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Sinclaire won't allow Ribery to pass to mount. Sinclaire is looking to get back to full guard here but Ribery has managed to pass to side control instead. Sinclaire sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Sinclaire is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ribery throwing shots but Sinclaire is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ribery keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Sinclaire looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ribery. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Sinclaire moves into full guard.
Sinclaire throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ribery escapes and throws Sinclaire's legs to the side, diving into side control! Ribery wants to control but Sinclaire is keeping him busy. Ribery misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sinclaire is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Sinclaire is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Ribery jumps into side control! Sinclaire is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Ribery showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Shane Sinclaire's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Sinclaire will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Shane Sinclaire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ribery lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shane Sinclaire's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
