PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Myles Wittaker (ranked 24749 p4p, 24665 weight class) and Justice McManus (ranked 658 p4p, 643 weight class). McManus has chosen Pat Murphy of the Irish Brigade as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

I was talking to Wittaker's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Wittaker lands a vicious elbow to the side of McManus's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Wittaker tries to finish him with strikes but McManus still seems able to defend himself so Wittaker steps back and lets McManus get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

McManus is rocked!
