Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Surkho Dratchev!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dratchev.
Hunt fails with the takedown
and Dratchev counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hunt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dratchev's guard.
Dratchev has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Hunt is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Hunt jumps guard but Dratchev stands there with Hunt around his waist. Hunt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Dratchev swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Dratchev is trying to push Hunt away but Hunt has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Hunt is looking for a takedown.

Hunt has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dratchev after a bit of a struggle.
A nice left hand lands by Dratchev.

Dratchev lands a hook that snaps the head of Hunt backwards.
Dratchev is leaning against Hunt and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Dratchev breaks the clinch.
Dratchev cracks Hunt with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hunt looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dratchev finish him?
Hunt is rocked!
Surkho Dratchev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dratchev measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Hunt! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!

After winning the bout, Surkho Dratchev thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
