Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Maruim Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryder Morningstar!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva pushes Morningstar up against the cage in a clinch.
Silva lands a left hand.
Silva has clasped his hands together around Morningstar's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Silva is working to tighten his grip on Morningstar's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Morningstar has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Silva is really squeezing tight and eventually Morningstar passes out! Silva breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
