Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adrian Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phoenix McGregor!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGregor moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hughes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hughes takes a swing at McGregor's ribcage but misses.
McGregor shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hughes as he avoids it easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Hughes misses its target.
McGregor gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hughes has McGregor pushed against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, McGregor just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hughes's brow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hughes is defending well against a takedown attempt.

McGregor is trying to drag Hughes to the mat but Hughes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Hughes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McGregor shoots in looking for a takedown but Hughes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McGregor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

McGregor tries a head kick but it misses.

Hughes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McGregor has time to react.

And Hughes counters with a quick kick to the body but McGregor blocks it.
McGregor shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hughes defends it nicely.

McGregor fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hughes throwing a counter right hand but McGregor manages to avoid it.

Hughes works McGregor's body with a nice hook.
McGregor tries to clinch up.
Hughes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
McGregor blocks a head kick by Hughes.
McGregor misses with a takedown attempt
and Hughes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps McGregor thinking.
Hughes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hughes was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

McGregor tries for a takedown but Hughes circles away easily
and Hughes counters with a crisp right hand that drops McGregor! Hughes lets McGregor back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
McGregor is rocked!
Phoenix McGregor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Are you kidding me?! Hughes ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent McGregor clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
