The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Philbeck throws a hook but Messing blocks it.
Messing on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Philbeck throws a hook but Messing avoids it easily.
Philbeck lands an overhand right.
A punch lands to the side of Messing 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Messing closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Messing in particular looking to stall.
Philbeck looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Messing working over Philbeck with some ground and pound. Philbeck looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Messing takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Messing breaks from Philbeck's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Philbeck somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

and Philbeck counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Messing on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nice uppercut lands for Philbeck. That snapped Messing's head back.
Messing shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Philbeck is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Messing scores with a couple of nice shots.
Messing is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Messing looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Messing lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Philbeck is still in real trouble! Can Messing finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Messing lands a big elbow - Philbeck is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Messing!
