Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mehdi Alanavi (ranked 3398 p4p, 24823 weight class) and Alpha OfAlphas (ranked 424 p4p, 657 weight class). Alpha OfAlphas told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alanavi is looking to clinch.
Alanavi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
OfAlphas scores with a nice right hand.
OfAlphas swings widly with a right hand
and Alanavi makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. OfAlphas really felt that one!

and Alanavi counters with a head kick that drops OfAlphas to the mat! OfAlphas scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

and Alanavi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Alanavi counters with a crisp one two that drops OfAlphas! Alanavi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves OfAlphas to his feet! OfAlphas is in big trouble!

Alanavi lands a big head kick that sends OfAlphas tumbling to the mat! Alanavi takes a step backwards and waves OfAlphas back to his feet - he wants the finish!
OfAlphas connects with a body shot that sends Alanavi's belly button to the back.
Alanavi lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as OfAlphas crumples to the floor! Alanavi milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
