Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mertis Falandas (ranked 999 p4p, 721 weight class) and Tommy McCork (ranked 127 p4p, 93 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Falandas might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Feed the Machine. McCork is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alternative Ulster by Stiff Little Fingers. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mertis Falandas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy McCork!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCork throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As McCork tries to get set, Falandas tries to push him back and clinch up but McCork manages to avoid the attempt.
McCork fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Falandas sprawls well initially but McCork persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
McCork throws a strike but Falandas manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will McCork tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mertis Falandas!
A relieved looking Mertis Falandas thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
