Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jakob Sondergaard (ranked 5160 p4p, 4625 weight class) and Zane Yardow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jakob Sondergaard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zane Yardow!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sondergaard changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Yardow tries to avoid it but Sondergaard manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Yardow to the ground. Yardow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Yardow keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Yardow throws a good cross that connects.
Sondergaard needs to keep his hands up - Yardow had a free shot at his head there.
Sondergaard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Yardow avoids it really well and circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Yardow! But no joy.
Sondergaard shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yardow as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jakob Sondergaard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yardow fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sondergaard looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Sondergaard shoots in looking for a takedown. Yardow tries to sprawl out of it but Sondergaard keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yardow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Yardow now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Sondergaard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yardow's waist but Yardow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sondergaard off to one side.

Yardow throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Yardow comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sondergaard walks into a straight right hand from Yardow.
Sondergaard shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Yardow counters by moving into the clinch.
A short left from Yardow.
Yardow lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sondergaard backwards.

Yardow drops Sondergaard onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Sondergaard is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Sondergaard is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yardow pushes Sondergaard against the cage. Yardow is working some dirty boxing. Yardow pushes off with a quick right hook! Sondergaard goes down! Sondergaard tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Yardow moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
