The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Farquharson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Davies avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Farquharson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Farquharson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davies pulls his leg out and moves away.

Davies connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Farquharson's hands.
Farquharson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Farquharson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Davies won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davies is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Farquharson off and has taken his back!

Davies throws strikes from the back but Farquharson rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Farquharson.

Farquharson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Davies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Farquharson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
