Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yahya Houssein (ranked 5903 p4p, 5014 weight class) and Ton Tyk (ranked 618 p4p, 580 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yahya Houssein !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ton Tyk!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houssein is looking to clinch.
Tyk misses with a right hand
and Houssein counters with a shoot takedown. Tyk fights it but they end up in guard.
Houssein wants to control from the top but Tyk keeps moving.
Tyk keeping full guard, as Houssein tries to pass.
Houssein postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tyk is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Houssein , into his guard.
Tyk stands up from Houssein 's guard - Tyk perhaps looking for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tyk closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Houssein has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Tyk avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Houssein jumps guard and drags Tyk to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Tyk wants to control from the top but Houssein keeps moving.
Tyk stops Houssein from standing up.
Tyk sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Tyk trying to control but Houssein is working from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Houssein working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tyk.
Houssein pushes Tyk off and gets back to his feet.
Tyk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Houssein is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tyk is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Houssein , as that shot connected.
Tyk shoots in and bounces Houssein off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Houssein wants to get back to his feet but Tyk passes into half guard.
Houssein tries to kick Tyk off in order to stand up. Tyk Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tyk moves to clinch but Houssein breaks away
and Houssein counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Tyk!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Houssein tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ton Tyk will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Houssein misses with a takedown
and Tyk counters with a shoot takedown. Houssein fights it but they end up in guard.
Houssein is looking to stand back up but Tyk counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Houssein .
Houssein wants to get back to his feet.
Tyk is pressing down on Houssein 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Houssein is holding on for now.
Tyk moves into full mount! Houssein won't be happy about that!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tyk thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Houssein is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Tyk has taken his back!

Tyk has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Houssein wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tyk somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Houssein is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Tyk has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Houssein has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Tyk has his opponent's back but Houssein is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Tyk.
Tyk misses with a two punch combination.
Houssein looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Houssein shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tyk but Tyk pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Tyk drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Houssein defends it well.

Tyk closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Houssein quickly recovers to half guard.
Houssein is not content to let Tyk control the position.
Houssein makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Ton Tyk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tyk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Houssein tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Tyk manages to move to mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Houssein bucks Tyk off and manages to get back to his feet!

Houssein scores with a one two! Tyk had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Tyk gets a clinch.
Houssein drops down looking for an ankle pick but Tyk pulls his leg out and moves away.

Tyk drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Tyk is trying to trip Houssein . He has hold of a leg but Houssein is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tyk persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Tyk is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Tyk passes Houssein 's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Houssein is not content to let Tyk control the position.

Tyk throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Houssein was covering up waiting for the punch and Tyk finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Houssein has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Tyk off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Tyk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Houssein tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well Tyk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
