Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lex Pole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lex Pole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Houston! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Paul Tew.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Houston tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pole swivels and escapes. Pole tries to close the distance and clinch but Houston swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Pole with a lazy takedown attempt
and Houston counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Houston lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Houston trying to control the action but Pole is working from the bottom. Pole wants to get back to his feet.
Houston takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Pole is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Houston wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pole keeps working.
Pole looking for submissions off his back.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Houston stands up and beckons Pole to join him on the feet.
Pole closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Pole prevents Houston from improving his position. Houston tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pole wants to control but Houston is keeping him busy. Pole is just content to waste time from the top position. Houston takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Houston bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pole's guard. Pole is breathing heavily. Houston with a flurry of punches that miss.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Houston working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Houston controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Houston preventing the sweep.
Pole is looking for a triangle but Houston pushes his legs off easily.
Pole keeping moving, preventing Houston from controlling successfully. Houston landing with the ground and pound. Houston wants to pass the guard but Pole is keeping the position. Houston trying to control the position from guard on top but Pole is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Pole can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Houston controls the pace. Pole looking to control.
Pole is striking from the bottom but Houston uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Houston is nestled in close to Pole, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Houston is keen to just control but Pole is a slippery customer. Houston is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Houston scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pole?
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Houston lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Houston lands a big shot there that rocks Pole but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Houston controlling the pace for now. Houston landing strikes, looking to finish! Pole is desperately trying to improve his position but Houston has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Houston dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!

Houston decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Pole is trying to get back to full guard. Pole avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Houston. Houston prevents Pole from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Houston landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Pole flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Houston working Pole over with strikes. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Houston connects with a nice short shot to Pole's temple. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Houston lands with a punch from half guard. Houston winds up and cracks Pole with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Houston is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Houston working over Pole with some ground and pound. Pole looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Ground and pound from Houston. Houston passes to side control. Pole tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Houston wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Eric Houston has got the better of the ground game so far.
Houston stands up. Houston shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pole as he avoids it easily.

Houston fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pole sprawls well initially but Houston persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Pole avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Houston. Houston prevents Pole from improving his position. Houston is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Pole! Houston avoids the attempt from Pole to control. Houston putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Pole is in all sorts of trouble here.

Houston controlling from the full mount. Pole takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Houston lands a heavy elbow. Houston landing strikes from the mount. Houston with shots to the head and body - Pole looks very uncomfortable down there. Houston trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pole takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pole working to try and regain half guard.
Houston lands with some strikes. Pole wants to hold on but Houston pushes him away. Houston wants to control the pace but Pole is squirming around nicely. Houston avoids the attempt from Pole to control. Houston fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Houston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Pole's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Pole counters with a shoot takedown. Houston fights it but they end up in guard. Pole looking to pass the guard. Houston is trying to control the position but Pole postures up.
Houston uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pole takes an elbow to the forehead.
Pole is fighting off a takedown attempt but Houston is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pole to the mat. Pole regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Houston accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Pole trying to control the position here. Pole wants to sweep but no luck.

Houston wants to control from the top but Pole keeps moving. Houston content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Pole is trying to keep Houston in close.
Pole wants to stand and escape but Houston is having none of it.

 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Houston darts in and clinches Pole up against the cage.
Houston has clasped his hands together around Pole's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Pole manages to work his way to half guard, despite Houston's best efforts. Pole keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Pole works his way to full guard. Good work. Pole manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Houston is trying desperately to improve position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Houston is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Houston is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Houston wants to try and get back to his feet. Houston looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Houston wants to control his opponent's hands but Pole gets his hands free.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Houston takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Houston trying to control the action but Pole just sinks the hooks in. Houston is trying to break free.
Houston breaks Pole's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Houston cracks Pole with a solid left hand. Houston must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Houston controlling from the top position. Houston trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lex Pole has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Eric Houston is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Pole working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Houston doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Houston manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Eric Houston. I've got Houston winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
