Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitriy Petrov! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petrov shoots in looking for a takedown but DeBlunt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Petrov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Petrov dives in and grabs DeBlunt's left leg, looking for a takedown. DeBlunt pushes down on Petrov's head and hops out. DeBlunt connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Petrov has a takedown stuffed. Phil DeBlunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dmitriy Petrov. Petrov darts in looking for a takedown but DeBlunt gets double underhooks and turns Petrov into the cage. Petrov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from DeBlunt.

Petrov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Petrov has a takedown stuffed. DeBlunt scores with a decent looking hook. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice body kick from DeBlunt. Dmitriy Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. DeBlunt connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Petrov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Petrov shoots in looking for a takedown but DeBlunt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Petrov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Petrov shoots in looking for a takedown. DeBlunt tries to sprawl out of it but Petrov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. DeBlunt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Phil DeBlunt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Donk. DeBlunt catches Petrov right on the button with a cross. DeBlunt stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Petrov has a takedown stuffed. DeBlunt is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Petrov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and DeBlunt counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Petrov badly! He tries to strike back but DeBlunt puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Petrov out cold! Oh man, Petrov will never hear the end of this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Phil DeBlunt! After winning the bout, Phil DeBlunt thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
