Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Topf Deckel (ranked 3715 p4p, 2231 weight class) and Ali Garcia (ranked 452 p4p, 295 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Topf Deckel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ali Garcia! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Deckel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Deckel wants to stand but Garcia has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Our spies down at at Shinobi Martial Arts & Ninjutsu inform us that Garcia has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Deckel seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Garcia is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Garcia wants to pass the guard but Deckel is defending well. Deckel is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garcia is just content to waste time from the top position. Deckel takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Garcia sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Deckel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Deckel is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Garcia trying to control the position from guard on top but Deckel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Deckel looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Deckel looking for a guillotine here but Garcia defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Deckel looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Garcia not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Deckel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Deckel's jab looks to have found its range, popping Garcia under the eye. Garcia pushes Deckel up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Deckel gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Deckel trying to control from half guard but Garcia is working away. Garcia tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Deckel has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Garcia is working to get back to half guard.
Garcia reaches up to try and control the position but Deckel seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Garcia rolls and tries to escape and now Deckel has his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Garcia's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Garcia trying to control the position but Deckel manages to sink in the hooks. Deckel is cranking Garcia's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Garcia! He's tightened the choke and Garcia is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Topf Deckel! Our winner, Topf Deckel, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
