0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cristiano Vasquez! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Twister decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Twister content to control rather than advance. Vasquez is trying to control but can't.
Vasquez tries to roll over but Twister keeps him under control. Vasquez trying to control from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Vasquez looks to land a combination but Twister avoids it well. Vasquez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasquez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Twister moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Vasquez throws a nice looking combination but Twister bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Twister closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Vasquez is trying to improve his position. Vasquez can't do much from the bottom here. Vasquez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Twister kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Vasquez wants to get back to his feet. Twister is trying to get an arm triangle but Vasquez is defending well. Twister really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Vasquez is looking for a sweep. Twister decides to stand back up. Twister steps back and let's Vasquez get back to his feet.

Twister feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasquez has control of Twister's left arm, preventing Twister from doing any damage. Vasquez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Twister is breathing heavily. and Twister counters with a nice double leg into guard. Vasquez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Vasquez wants to stand but Twister has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Twister has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vasquez is working away from the top position though. Twister is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vasquez is keen to just control but Twister is a slippery customer. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. It looks like Vasquez is going to stand back up.

and Twister moves into the clinch. Twister drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vasquez has had enough of the clinch but Twister keeps him there for the moment. Vasquez wants to break free but Twister has control.
Twister is trying to drag Vasquez to the mat but Vasquez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Vasquez is trying to break free. Vasquez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Vasquez is looking to stand but Vasquez has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Vasquez get's back to his feet. Vasquez misses with a takedown attempt and Twister counters with a takedown into side control. Vasquez is not content to let Twister control the position. Vasquez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Twister's best efforts. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Twister dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Twister walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Twister fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vasquez sprawls well initially but Twister persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Vasquez tries to kick Twister off but Twister keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Twister wants to free his trapped foot but Vasquez is holding on for dear life with his legs. Twister prevents Vasquez from improving his position. Twister will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Vasquez is trying to stand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Twister closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Twister lands in his opponent's guard. Twister wants to stand but Vasquez is controlling his posture from full guard. Vasquez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Twister manages to get himself to full guard.
Vasquez wants to control from the top but Twister keeps moving. Vasquez decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Left hook, right uppercut from Vasquez.

Twister closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Vasquez wants to get back to his feet. Twister stands up and we're back to a striking position. No joy there for Vasquez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Twister fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vasquez. Vasquez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Twister counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Twister. Vasquez wants to break the clinch but can't.

Twister advances position into side control! Vasquez regains half guard. Twister is taking a breather. Vasquez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Vasquez is trying to stand.
Mark Twister overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Twister takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Vasquez is trying to stand back up but Twister is controlling him
Twister is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasquez is concentrating on defense, preventing Twister from advancing position. Twister prevents Vasquez from improving his position. Twister tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Vasquez. Twister controlling the action here. Twister is thwarting Vasquez's attempts to control the position. Cristiano Vasquez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Vasquez is refusing to be controlled, as Twister sits in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Twister showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Twister, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
