Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bartholomew Slice (ranked 2401 p4p, 2949 weight class) and Batang Kock (ranked 139 p4p, 168 weight class). Kock has chosen I will axe kick you, and I am not careful. as his entrance music. Bartholomew Slice could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Batang Kock's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bartholomew Slice! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Batang Kock! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Chris Dean and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slice slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Slice jabbing away but nothing is landing. A telegraphed right hand from Slice misses the target. Kock lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Slice scores with a jab. Kock acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Slice throws a hook to the side of Kock's head but Kock sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Slice throws a leg kick that misses. Slice misses with a left hand and Kock counters with a nice uppercut. Kock ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Kock has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Slice lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Slice throws a jab but it's blocked by Kock. Slice lands a front kick. Slice fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kock avoids it really well and circles away. Kock takes a body punch but keeps moving. Slice cracks Kock with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kock misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Slice.
Jab, jab by Slice - just one landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slice loads up on a big right hand but Kock slips the punch. Kock appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. A big left from Slice misses. Slice listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Slice works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Slice misses with a left hand and Kock counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Slice thinking. Bartholomew Slice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slapping leg kick lands for Slice.
Slice throws a right hand that misses
and Kock counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Slice is lucky that one didn't land flush. Slice pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Slice throws a right hand that Kock ducks under and follows up with a left that Kock also avoids with ease. Slice has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Doom's Gym in the buildup to the fight. Kock walks into a jab. Kock gets a takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kock wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slice keeps working. Kock controlling the action here. Kock prevents Slice from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kock is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Slice is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Batang Kock! Batang Kock spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
