Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alejandro Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Slim Shady!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shady darts in and clinches Sanchez up against the cage.
Shady stops a takedown attempt from Sanchez.
Shady lands an elbow inside that Sanchez shrugs off.
Sanchez tries to pull guard but Shady holds him up against the cage and eventually Sanchez drops back down to his feet.

Shady pulls guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shady is on top in guard.

Sanchez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shady doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shady manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanchez is taking a breather. Shady says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sanchez scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Sanchez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shady with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Sanchez uses his free foot to push down on Shady's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Shady.
Sanchez lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Shady hang on?

Sanchez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shady looks a forlorn figure.

Shady avoids a strike by Sanchez and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Sanchez's guard! Fantastic escape!

Sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shady can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

I looks like Shady might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Sanchez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sanchez wants to free his trapped foot but Shady is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Alejandro Sanchez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sanchez is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Shady is in real trouble.
Shady seems to have recovered his senses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sanchez is not going to allow Shady to sit and survive in this position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sanchez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Shady is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Sanchez lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Shady!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Shady takes the fight into the clinch.
Sanchez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shady smiles and moves away.

and Sanchez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shady's guard.

Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Shady bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sanchez's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sanchez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shady does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sanchez is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Shady is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
