Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Calton (ranked 5262 p4p, 5279 weight class) and Mordor Mettovaara (ranked 603 p4p, 605 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mettovaara fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Calton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Calton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round but I would say that Charles Calton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

It looked like Calton wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Look low, kick high! Mettovaara uses the oldest trick in the book to send Calton tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Mettovaara is absolutely delighted - when Calton wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
