Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Arkinson (ranked 23366 p4p, 5792 weight class) and Davis Gill (ranked 249 p4p, 235 weight class). Arkinson comes into the arena with Breaking Benjamin - So cold blaring out of the sound system. Gill has chosen White Room as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Arkinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Davis Gill!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arkinson connects with a single shot there.
Good work by Arkinson as he checks the leg kick.
Gill fails in his attempt to clinch.
No joy there for Gill, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gill walks straight into a right hand from Arkinson - that's dropped him! Arkinson jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Gill from any more punishment! Gill complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mark Arkinson!
