Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noah Wells (ranked 2812 p4p, 5668 weight class) and James Duggan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noah Wells could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to James Duggan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noah Wells! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Duggan! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Francis DeMontford and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wells closes the distance looking to clinch and Duggan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Noah Wells has been cut. Duggan needs to keep his hands up - Wells had a free shot at his head there. Wells lands an overhand right. Duggan misses with a combination
and Wells connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wells defending well as Duggan loads up on a big left hand. Wells swings widly with a right hand
and Duggan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wells thinking. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Duggan on the wrong end of a nice hook. Duggan throws a lazy uppercut
and Wells counters with a straight punch to the midsection. A looping hook to the body misses from Duggan. Wells does a little dance to reset his feet. Wells works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Duggan shoots in and drives through. Wells sprawls well. Wells is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duggan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Duggan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Wells definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A shot to the body from Duggan misses and Wells counters with a right hand to the body. Duggan pushes Wells up against the cage in a clinch. Wells lands a hook that snaps the head of Duggan backwards. Wells tries to circle away but Duggan has him pinned against the cage. Duggan has a couple of punches blocked by Wells.
Wells tries to throw a body punch but Duggan avoids it by throwing Wells back against the cage. Duggan misses with a punch to the body.
Duggan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Wells slows down the pace here.

Duggan throws a punch but it's blocked by Wells. Duggan lands a shoulder strike. Duggan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wells to keep the fight standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duggan looking for a takedown. Noah Wells has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Duggan. Duggan throws a punch but it's blocked by Wells. Wells scores with a shot to the side of Duggan's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Duggan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Duggan blocks an uppercut.

Duggan lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Wells lands a left hand that snaps the head of Duggan backwards. Duggan misses with a punch on the inside.
Wells swings wildly with an uppercut but Duggan uses good head movement to avoid it. Wells blocking some punches.
Duggan tries to work over Wells's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Wells lands a right hand. Duggan pulls Wells into guard.
Wells won't allow Duggan to sweep him here. Duggan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wells pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Duggan is keeping the position for now. Duggan looking for a sweep. Not yet Duggan, not yet. Duggan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Duggan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wells forces Duggan back against the cage and clinches. A head punch on the inside from Duggan fails to land. Duggan throws a head punch that misses. Wells works on Duggan's body with a couple of short punches. Wells has a couple of punches blocked by Duggan.
Duggan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Wells backwards. A short right from Duggan on the inside. Wells prevents a body shot from Duggan. Duggan is trying to trip Wells. He has hold of a leg but Wells is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Duggan persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Wells avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Duggan lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Duggan's corner is telling him to maintain position. Duggan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but James Duggan will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Noah Wells's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Duggan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wells counters with a stiff right hand. Wells throws a hook to the side of Duggan's head but Duggan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A swing and a miss from Wells. Wells keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Duggan takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Wells stuns Duggan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Duggan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Wells. Duggan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wells circles away quickly and effectively. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wells scores with a one two! Duggan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Wells scores with a body shot.
Wells moves into range and connects with a jab. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Duggan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Wells counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Duggan with a lazy takedown attempt and Wells counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Wells is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Duggan can do to turn this around? Wells digs a good body shot into Duggan's ribs. Duggan is breathing heavily. Duggan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wells connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Duggan scrambles back to his feet. Duggan with a lazy takedown attempt and Wells counters with a left to the body. Wells lands a lovely overhand right.
Duggan is rocked! Wells changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Duggan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Duggan is still on wobbly legs! Can Wells finish him? Wells lands with a shot to the body. Wells cracks Duggan with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Duggan tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Wells pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Duggan is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noah Wells!
