The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Darius Henderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson darts in looking for a takedown but Watts gets double underhooks and turns Thompson into the cage.
An attempted straight right counter from Watts misses the target.
Thompson tries to clinch up but Watts circles away and keeps his distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Thompson.
Thompson misses with a takedown
and Watts counters with a nice low kick that buckles Thompson's knee momentarily.
Oliver Watts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Finn Thompson.
Thompson wants to clinch but Watts slips to the side
and Watts counters with a straight right hand.

and Watts counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thompson thinking.

Watts lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Thompson tries to throw a body punch but Watts avoids it by throwing Thompson back against the cage.
Thompson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Watts's elbow.

Watts manages to break the clinch.
Watts scores with a nice head shot.
Watts throws a jab when Thompson was well out of range.
Thompson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

and Watts counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thompson thinking.
Thompson is looking to clinch but Watts is avoiding it.
Watts thuds a left hand into Thompson's body.
Thompson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Watts feints a jab promting Thompson to slip. Watts then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Thompson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Thompson fails with the takedown.
Thompson looks winded!
Thompson tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Watts scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Thompson swinging wildly here.
Thompson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Watts lands a jab to the head.
That kick from Watts tenderised Thompson's leg. Thompson is trying to keep his angry face on.
Watts lands a really nice looking cross but Thompson seems unphased.
Thompson is looking to clinch but Watts is avoiding it.
Thompson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Watts circles away.

Watts moves into range and clinches up with Thompson.
Thompson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Watts smiles and moves away.
Thompson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Watts throws a head kick that misses.
Thompson throws a sloppy body shot
and Watts cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jab, jab by Watts - just one landing.
Thompson tries to clinch
and Watts counters with a nice uppercut.

Thompson is rocked!
Thompson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Thompson is still on wobbly legs! Can Watts finish him?
Watts cracks Thompson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Thompson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Watts pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Thompson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
